Since the early days of our marriage, a certain evil character has infiltrated our home at his choosing. His name: Bluh Bluh Man. His mission: To make me squeal and squirm uncomfortably. Bluh Bluh Man is really Jason's alter ego. He starts yelling, "Bluh bluh! Bluh bluh!" He puts his hand under my chin and wiggles it against my neck. I CAN'T STAND IT. I have no idea why.
Well, Gabby is really starting to experiment vocally now. What is her favorite syllable to say? "Bluh." (Or "blaaa.") She says it over and over. And she occasionally squeals in the middle of it. Was she really listening so closely in the womb?! Also, she blows an intermittent raspberry. This brings me to a current family vocabulary disagreement: When you slide on a field and scrape up your leg, what do you call it? Strawberry or raspberry? Please vote via the comments button. It's Everybody vs. Jason and Papa Don. Results will be posted on the next blog.
My apologies for leaving you with no new entries for so long. Okay - not that you care so much for the reading material, but rather the pictures of Miss Lutz. We've been OOC-busy. (That's out-of-control-busy.) Jason's 30th birthday was this past Thursday. I was trying to put together a really over-the-top birthday party, but because of all the craziness, we ended up with just plain fun. There will be more pictures to come later. Other than that, we now have a young woman living with us for a couple of weeks, my last concert for the year is this Tuesday, Jason and I took the youth girls and guys on separate overnight retreats last weekend, and Jason had a youth fundraiser at the church last night.Final story... At said guys' retreat, they were playing football at midnight, and Jason took an elbow to the nose. I think it gave him a mild concussion, becasue he couldn't remember the pastor's last name the next day and he lost his keys three times. Poor Jason. Serves you right, Bluh Bluh Man.
Strawberry is the correct term for losing skin due to sliding or scraping your body.
ReplyDeleteRaspberry is the sound you make with your tongue and lips that sounds like...well, it sounds like a raspberry.
The correct term is Strawberry. And who knew Jason had so many alter-egos.....the Bluh bluh man and Aqua man...wow. Lauren, you are a lucky woman!
ReplyDeletePictures of Ms. Gabby are absolutely precious and adorable. Her Aunt Amanda and Uncle Jared are dying to meet her!
Definitely strawberry. I'm recalling right now a terrible incident at Vacation Bible School (oh yeah) that left me with the nastiest strawberry this side of the Mississippi. Gabby is quite a beauty. Can't wait to meet her!!!!!!
