Happy 1/2 Birthday, Gabrielle!
Today, Gabrielle turns 6 months old. Wowee. To prove her maturity, she wanted to demonstrate her carrot-intake abilities for you tonight. Next thing you know, you'll be seeing her on that Nathan's hotdog-eating contest, beating that Japanese guy. We'll be on SportsCenter! Yessss.

In the middle of writing this blog, she showed off some more... It was the first time that I've seen her hold a bottle for any length of time. In celebration of this 6 mo. milestone, I got out two toys that said, "6 m+" on the box. She gave them all kisses, so I guess she likes them.
Other happenings...
- Please keep our friend Locoya in your prayers. His appendix ruptured 3 weeks ago, but he only went into the hospital a few days ago. They didn't know it had been three weeks until last night, and he was obviously in bad shape by that point. Jason is with him in Chapel Hill tonight, so Gabby and I are holding the fort down by ourselves.
- Mom, Dad, and Rachel are house-hunting in KY for a few days. So exciting! So sad! So confusing! (My parents are moving from Rockingham to Lexington, KY in July-ish, if ya didn't know.)
- Jason and I are picking up the violin. His Uncle Tommy and Aunt Faye sent us a violin in the mail!!! (I know!!! Thanks again, Tommy and Faye!) When I sat down to play the other night, it naturally sparked Jason's competitive fires. What a healthy relationship we have.
Well, time to run for now. Say goodbye to our little flirt.

Hi Lutzes!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Lacoya...that sounds awful! I be sure to pray for him.
Your little doll is getting cuter all the time! Kate just turned 7 months old, and I can hardly believe how quickly it's all gone by. It makes me soooooo sad! But, I need to get a grip. Growing up is bound to happen.
I'm coming up to NC for a few weeks this summer...maybe we could plan a play date?
Take care....and Happy Mother's Day!!!!
