Grass is always greener...

This was Gabrielle about 5 minutes ago. You can probably see a slight shine of the tears on her face. She's mad because she doesn't want to take a nap.

What's the name of that movie where the mom and daughter somehow swap bodies and have to live each other's lives? It might have been a Hayley Mills movie, and then they remade it a few years ago. Hmmm... it will come to me. I think Gabby and I need to have one of those experiences. She never wants to take a nap, I always do. I don't want to leave home in the mornings, she can't wait to get out of our arms and explore all that she sees. I want to snuggle, she doesn't. If we swapped places for a minute, I'm sure we'd appreciate each other's circumstances much more. That's what happens in the movies, right?

It has been one heck of a week. Likewise, March is going to kick my butt. BUT (haha... butt, but) March has one redeeming factor... MARCH MADNESS! You knew it was coming. Last year, Gabrielle had the cushy in-the-belly seat in which to ride out the tournament. This year, we're hoping for another National Championship. That would be suhhh-weet. But, before we begin even the ACC Tourney (We're gonna win!), please ponder this piercing point: Coack K says that people's questioning of the calls that his team gets (or avoids) undermines the integrity of both the referees and the game. My brilliant husband Jason asks, "Coach K, why didn't you think of that when you accused Coach Smith and the Tarheels of receiving the same treatment years ago?" HMMMMMM. GOOD QUESTION, JASON. Some people ought examine the hypocrisy they live in. HMMMM.

If you can't tell, we're watching a lot of basketball around here. Thus I think it's worthy of making it onto the blog which purports to document "our" lives.

One more thing. Vote for Bucky on American Idol. He's from Rockingham. His accent is way thicker than most of ours, but hey - he's a nice guy. Even Simon called him "genuine." Aaaannd, he's got a pretty good voice!

I'm not sure I've ever seen Gab this mad -- maybe she's just fakin' it for some diversity and your entertainment!

And to answer Jason's question about why Coach K did not "think of that" years ago -- same reason that babies crap in their diapers and then cry about it - they just can't help themselves! I think he was tired of taking whoopin's on a regular basis from The Dean... but he just couldn't help himself!!
