"I'm proud."

Today's blog features an essay contest between us three Lutzes. The theme will be given by my paternal grandmother, Erma Nell Wells. So, Ma, what say you?

Why don't you each write an essay starting with one of my favorite phrases: "I'm proud..." For example, "I'm proud of those leather seats in my new van," or "I'm proud that casserole came out so well."
Excellent! Let us begin.

Jason: I'm proud that I have grown copious amounts of ginormous squash. The way Lauren cooked it for lunch quieted the rumbly in my tumbly. If ever there was a prouder gardner, he still couldn't have made such cool faces as I do.

Lauren: I'm proud that today is my first day of Summer Break! In fact, I'm so elated that I have decided to have my foot operated on tomorrow to keep me from floating off of the planet. My celebration of this day includes a trip to WalMart and taking a shower!!

Gabrielle: I'm proud that everyone thinks I'm so cool! And who can blame them?! This week I've set the rock-bounce-dance trend, babbled "Da da da da" like it's going out of style, and screamed like a banshee at church when a 2 year old boy kissed me on the lips. Generally, I'm proud of having a personality worth screaming about!

Contestants will be voted on via the comments button. Obviously, Gabrielle will win since it will turn into a good, old-fashioned popularity contest.

I vote for Lauren as she is the most proud wearing spit-up on her shoulder. A proud MOM!!! Yes, the shower is appropriate.
Love you and vote for you, girl!

A close second is bouncing baby girl! Sorry, Jason.
