A day in the life

Yesterday was a noteworthy day. Lots of good stories.

We took Gabrielle to see Dr. Mason for her 2-week checkup. She weighed in at 10 lbs!!! Yes, that's right. She'd gained a pound and 5 ounces in 12 days. My girl is an eater!! Right after the nurse weighed her, Gabby started peeing. Then she had a projectile poop. This was a problem, because they weigh babies completely naked. Yes, diaperless. She covered EVERYTHING. Jason and I were laughing, but the nurse was not.

We came home and I went to exchange diapers with The Evil Empire (Walmart) while Jason and Gabrielle napped. Pretty soon I will quit posting mundane events such as a trip to the store, but right now it's quite an accomplishment when I leave the house.

Needless to say, all of these events are punctuated with Gabrielle's mealtimes, so everything takes longer than it sounds. It was such a beautiful day that I got out the stroller and took her on a walk around the block.

Didja notice that I am wearing something other than maternity clothes? Hee hee!

Jason had to make a second trip to Moore County for another hospital last night, so I ate at Mom & Dad's. Yum. Real food. Gabrielle screamed a good deal of the time we were there. She finally calmed down when she saw that Peyton Manning was having a good game. I think she was just worried since Roethlisberger was back.
